I’m listening to you. I hear you say that you don’t know where and how and what to delegate in your group practice.
I’ve been listening to group practice owners say for some time now that they aren’t sure how to delegate tasks in their group practice out to others. They don’t know what they can hand off, and who to hand it off to.
Should I hire a VA? An in house admin? A company? And is there one person that does it all?
There’s a few things to think about when it comes to delegating tasks.
- All practices are different, so things that can be delegated differs practice by practice.
- What are some of the things you are doing that you hate doing or take away from things that you should or want to be doing?
- Who you need to hire depends wholly on your needs. Most group practice owners have several people/VAs they delegate to based on the category of the tasks.
In my worksheet below, I help you figure out what you CAN delegate, and then help you categorize those things so you know WHO to delegate to.
- Start slow. You may find that you want to delegate 100 things out, but that will only overwhelm your brain and pocketbook.
- Start with one category (like billing, or social media management, or Facebook ads) and see how that feels for you, both financially and help-wise. Feel weight lifted off your shoulders? Have the ability to increase income with that extra help? Then move to the next category.
- Be creative. You don’t have to only delegate things in your group practice. Think outside the box…..like having someone come clean your house once a week. Maybe trying a home delivery food service. Whatever gives your more time to do whatever it is you WANT to be doing.
I hope this helps you get closer to spending your time they way you want!
